This scientific article was written about a swarm of earthquakes near Trinidad Lake, just above Trinidad, during and after injection into about 10 wells (illustrated) into the Dakota Sandstone and Morrison Formation.
This swarm of earthquakes was used to identify a previously unknown fault near Trinidad, Colorado.
This swarm also raises concerns that the Dakota Sandstone is somewhat structural in the geology and seismology of the Rios Gallina and Chama Watersheds.
Such earthquakes risk both, watersheds and communities.
