Vitamins vs. Non-nutritive Compounds
In this section, structures of nutrients important to the proper functioning
of the microsomal flavin-containing monooxygenase are compared to non-nutritive
compounds that may interfere with these important activities. Even though
most of this information was obtained by a casual inspection of an old
Merck Index, 8th ed., 1968, and therefore must be considered common knowledge,
the perspectives in environmental toxicology are for the most part novel.
