The US Department of the Intererior, US Geological Survey, NM Bureau of Mines and Mineral Resources, and the New Mexico State Engineer Office, reported on outcroppings of the Morrison Formation in the Rio Chama Watershed and near Abiquiu Lake.
Covered also, therein, were hydraulics of the Morrison Formation (Jm) in a study area extending all the way to Albuquerque, as far west as Shiprock, and as far north as Cortez, Durango, and Pagosa Springs, Colorado.
A shaded area, just right of the study area in the vicinity of Gallina, identifies an exposed Morrison Formation (J on “Big Map”) just above Abiquiu Lake.
