Notes:

Unlike groundwater use to its east and west, Rio Arriba County's modest use of groundwater is for agriculture.

West of the Continental Divide, water is abused for fracking with more encroachment eastward proposed.

Countywide demands for fresh water will undoubtedly increase as more surface and groundwater is polluted.

Two waste injection wells east of the Continental Divide are already reported to have disposed of 14,655,816 gallons of contaminants underground, with no long-term, or assurances of any kind, for the safety for our groundwater in the Rio Chama Watershed or “us”.
