Plagued again with the “depicted” dotted line in the eastern San Juan Basin, oil and gas may not be attainable on the east side of the Continental Divide without fracking into Greenhorn Limestone and Dakota Sandstone, directly above drinking water supplies.

Trends towards more and more wells per section increase risks to water supplies, increase risks of seismic activity that can breach well casings, increase surface losses of gas, and can decrease profitability with increased drilling costs for more wells.

Injecting contaminated fracking fluids and produced water directly above drinking water is EPA-banned (IV).
