Again, consistent prospects for gas are much better west of the Continental Divide (R02W) than east of the Continental Divide (R01W, R01E, R02E, etc.).

This figure is again plagued by the “depicted” dotted line, indicating questionable geology east of the Continental Divide capable of predictably yielding Mesaverde gas.

Spacing of wells at 80 acres is notorious for increasing wastes, increasing risks to surface and groundwater, and perhaps even decreasing long-term, overall production.

Ready depletion of Mancos Shale reserves, beneath the Mesaverde Group is anticipated, especially when using 80 acre spacing, since more wells “lose” more gas.
